Lilla Rose You Pin Giveaway!

I am over the moon for this giveaway!

For about six years, I have been in a pony tail rut.

Every day is the same.
Pony tail after pony-tail...
Boring old pony-tail!

So I thought I would mix it up a bit and try a bun. I love having my hair in a bun but after a while, the bobby pins would give me headaches. What transformed is what I have now named " the workout bun."

Not quite a pony tail and not quite a bun. A little bit of both with a lot of lazy mixed in. Some wear them high, some wear them low. Either way, after a while it just looks like a big mess. In fact, if you type in 'messy bun' in any search engine, there are a ton of how-to's and images!

Here is the really good...

The oh so bad...

And the reality of a stay at home mom, using the ahhmazing Lilla Rose You-Pins...

Yes, this is me!
I put this little collage together so you can see how beautiful (and easy) the You-Pins are!
I styled my hair with braids on each side, then attempted the messy bun. Adding the Etched Daisy's You-Pins made my style more elegant and held the "mess" together!

Here is a quick tutorial on using the You-Pins:

Wouldn't you love to win a set of You-Pins for your self?

Thought so!

Many thank you's to Independent Consultant, Paula Ramm for sponsoring this fabulous giveaway!

If your not sure what size Flexi Clip to order, be sure to watch this quick video on choosing the correct size for your hair type!

Best wishes!

Cravings Giveaway!

What can be better than a cupcake?

The Word of God and a cupcake, of course!

I recently stumbled upon another website hosting a "scrumptious" giveaway for Cravings, the Devotional and I had to have one of my own!

This is so brilliant for busy mom's!

Craving's, the Devotional is a collection of 40 cards, written by a mom, based on the Psalms to encourage and nurture our relationship with the Lord when we crave Him, but somehow life get's ahead.

Let me explain where I am, and why I love this idea.
I have six children, three of whom I am teaching.
I have an infant who I nurse on demand, and two other toddlers. One who is still in diapers, so that is two in diapers, and all three nap, all at different times of the day.
Add in houseworks, meals, swim lessons and other various play and crafts.
Also, my husband works twelve hour days.

Please don't get me wrong, I am blessed beyond measure and LOVE the life I have be given!
I pray throughout the day. For my husband, my children, family and friends.
I have tried to get into some routine of fitting in the Word, but for me, it doesn't always happen.
It's a challenge to get up at six in the morning to have some quiet time when I was already up three other times for nursing the baby or someone wet the bed or had a nightmare.

I cherish the moments I have with my children when I read the Bible to them each day before we begin our lessons, however I crave time alone with God.

Craving's the Devotional is just that for me.
Because even when I'm not constant,  He is!
Little morsels of the Word, resting on top of a cupcake, sitting next to the sink while I do dishes. The funny thing is, no one interrupts me while I'm doing the dishes!

Craving's, the Devotional is a great way to supplement your daily reading for a season if you need it.
This sweet little cupcake would also make a wonderful gift!

I was given a free cupcake in exchange for my honest review of Craving's. If you would like to purchase your own delightful cupcake, you may do so by going here

Or you have a chance to win one of your very own!

Be joyful always; pray continuallygive thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus~ Thessalonians 5:16-18

The Cottage Mama E-Book Bundle Giveaway!~CLOSED

This Giveaway is now closed! Congratulations to Sharon K.!

I was delighted when Kristy from Little Natural Cottage contacted me and offered me her E-books to review and enjoy! Even though I was raised on the beaches of southern California, reading her books brought out the "South" in me I never even knew existed! As I read through each delicious recipe, I couldn't help but want to say to my family, "Y'all are going to love this recipe!"

Seriously!

Kristy not only has amazingly delicious and healthy recipes for nourishing your family, but she writes in a way that says, "Welcome to my kitchen, what can I get you?"

Kristy has written four fabulous e-books I would love to share with you today.

This little gem of a book is packed full of creative, healthy and easy make-ahead mixes for your family. It screams "Brilliant!" I wish I would have had this book while I was pregnant. I would have been able to plan ahead to those, I need toothpicks to hold my eyes open, sort of days with out wondering what can I whip up real quick. Now I have had on hand, several mixes from Buttermilk Pancake mix to Homemade Pizza Dough!

Holiday Mixes & Gifts in a Jar is a wonderful book and my new favorite go to gift guide. Kristy gives ideas for creating Holiday Goodie Baskets that would make very heart warming gifts. For example, attaching a cookie cutter to you jars for the cookie mix recipes or simply adding a few tea bags or a bag of home made coco into a pretty tea-cup or mug. This book has recipes ranging from Muffins, Soups and even Apple Pie in a Jar! She even has a Spiced Pumpkin Mix and Y'all know how I love my pumpkin! (see below)

This DIY e-book is amazing! Kristy has broken up this book into four sections; DIYourself for your Home, your Health, your Babies and for Fun! I really appreciate the simplicity this book. Kristy gives step by step instructions as well as photos for making liquid hand soap, herbal salves, baby teething biscuits, and facial lotion. Again all these delightful recipes could be used as gifts!

The Cottage Mama Plans Her Menu is Kristy's latest book and again, it's full of delicious recipes that are wholesome and healthy! Kristy plans out 14 days worth of meals and give tips  to accommodate for gluten and dairy sensitivities. Included is a Grocery Shopping List, Whole-Food Hints and Time Saver Tips.

You can also download a free preview of each book by going here!

Vintage Handmade Soaps Giveaway!~closed

I love all things handmade. I especially love things that are handmade, with love!

I couldn't wait to receive my soap bar in the mail from Vintage Handmade Soaps. As were my two older girls! It was their day to go get the mail and when the soap arrived, they came running in the house yelling, "Mommy, something smells really pretty in the letters!" It was of course, my Passion-fruit Rose Soap!

Vintage Handmade Soaps are made with pure ingredients.  Using natural oils consisting of Castor, Coconut, Olive, Palm, Sunflower, and Shea Butter, you can feel and see the difference on your skin compared to a store bought, chemically filled soap. Having and ever growing baby-belly can lead to dry, itchy skin and these ingredients are the perfect remedy!

Vintage Handmade Soaps offers a wide variety of luxurious soaps that are "Naturally" scented such as Lavender or Sweet Orange Vanilla. You may also choose from soaps that are "Nicely" scented with fragrance oils like Peach Blossom or Cream Cheese Frosting!

Heather from Vintage handmade Soaps has graciously offered a $10 Gift Certificate to one lucky ready!

Sara from Your Thriving Family has written a whimsical book that is all about Baby ShowersIn Baby Shower, you will find games, printable's, recipes and a few pointers for a more stress-free host.

Jenny from A Mother's Heritage is kindred spirit of mine! She openly recounts mess, OCD, and "yes, rich beauty and love" in her inspiring book. I can whole-heartily relate to Jenny's struggles. Often I am reminded that life with little's can be a little messy and I just have to let it go, Embracing the Mess!

Darlene Schacht from Time-Warp Wife has graciously offered her e-book, The Wife's Guide, Embracing Your Role as a Help Meet! While I am still reading through this gem myself, Darlene offers great encouragement and advice such as, "If you have problems to deal with, wait until after dinner to spring it on him. Husbands are happier when their tummies are full. Greet him at the door with open arms, a kiss, and a warm embrace.Make an effort to look at him when he is speaking so that he has your full attention."

emeals Giveaway!~closed

This has to be one of my favorite sites, ever!

emeals is an online menu planning website that offers weekly menu plans. They have over 30 menu plans ranging from 2-6 people. In addition to the traditional menu plan, they offers low-carb, low-fat and vegetarian menus to choose from.

SAVE TIME AND MONEY WITH EMEALS MEAL PLANS

My favorite part about emeals service is that I can choose which grocery store to shop from. emeals plans your menu around the store you choose so that you get the best deals from your local market! Each weekly menu also comes with shopping list as well as cooking instructions. All the work is done for you! Hello time-saver!

This is how simple the process is:

And because emeals is so fantastic, they offer three different subscription options:

~3 months for $21
~6 months for $35
~1 year for $58

This menu plan became so helpful to my family. Because I was on bed rest, it was difficult for me to get the menus planned, the shopping list completed and then have any expectations from my family that dinner would be served. I'm not saying we couldn't survive off of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but with this plan, we were able to remain more organized. My husband thinks this plan is brilliant! Now I can plan out our menu, print the list, have him take care of the shopping, then we can work as a family to make the meals!

I <3 eMeals

emeals is generously giving away to one blessed reader one 3 month subscription!

Scripture Lullabies Giveaway!~closed

A few weeks ago I purchased Hidden in My Heart Vol. I.

I can't stop listening to it!

The music is peacefully soothing and the lyrics set to scripture are simply divine!

I would not limit this music to just calming your babe to sleep. This is poetic music for anytime. Listen to it in the car during traffic, cleaning the house or helping the children with school work!

Hidden in my Heart is the perfect gift for a new mommy! In fact if I were able to deliver naturally I would want this music playing in the background to help me keep my focus on my baby and the Lord, from which all blessings flow!

Moore Family Films Giveaway!~closed

There are plenty of days when I'm in the trenches and I want to wave my white flag in surrender. The black Sharpie is the favorite marker of choice for the walls, lunch is late, school lessons have gone awry and dinner is burnt. My flesh cries, "Lord remind me they are a blessing!"

I almost let the enemy in with his lies. I begin to repeat the words of scorners in my head that tell me I'm crazy for having ''all those kids'' or frown upon my "irresponsibility" when they look down on me with pity.

As a first generation Christian I will be the first to admit I fail (daily) when it comes to raising godly children.
I need help for the days when I am poured out and need refreshment.
So I seek out advise from those who are like-minded for wisdom, advice and encouragement.

That is exactly what I found in "Children are a Blessing"

Moore Family Films on Vimeo

My husband and I completely relate to the Moore family. This film documents their own journey as they so "transparently share their testimony of how God, in His grace and mercy, opened their eyes in spite of their own sinful beginning. Be encouraged as they casually answer questions often posed to large families. Then, experience the joy of Biblical family life as they anticipate, give birth to, and welcome their tenth child into their home." My girls also loved watching this film as it is co-narrated by the Moore's young daughter Dailey Grace. psst...The Moore's are expecting another blessing due this April!

In Deuteronomy 32, Moses tells the people: Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do...for it is not a vain thing for you,
because it is your life.

This is Your Life: The Moss Family has been encouraging movie for my husband and I because the Moss family speaks honesty and loving on why they educate their children at home, why Beverly stays home to care for the family and how George leads his family in Bible reading and prayer. You can also see the genuine love the children share for one another. What interested me the most in this film, however, was why they trust God for children after 6 c-sections! Their love for family and children is genuine and honest.

Both films incorporate scripture and both films give all the authority and glory to the Lord!
I would strongly encourage you to purchase both films for your families media library. They are a wonderful resource for teaching multi-generational thinking to our children as well as to those who have questions about what Scriptures states when it comes to surrendering our all to the Lord in the area of having children according to His will, not ours.

Moore Family Films is graciously giving away both films to one blessed reader!

Vision Forum Giveaway!!!~closed

I am so honored to have my first Vision Forum Giveaway be all about babies!
Vision Forum is our "go to" company for resources on building strong, life-giving families and character. Vision Forum loves babies and they want to share the love with you by giving away two fabulous resources!

Remember my post from Friday, and all the questions that swirl through my heart? This book answers those questions and many more..."Does the Bible address the question of child prevention? Is cutting off the godly seed ever an act of “good stewardship?” Are economic considerations a valid biblical ground for closing the womb? What about “natural” family planning? What about families that cannot have children? Is the widespread use by Christians of the “pill,” a child prevention device with abortifacient potential, bringing judgment on the Church? Be Fruitful and Multiply answers these questions and makes the case that Christians should do more than just “trust God” for children, we should cry out to the Lord to bless the fruit of the womb." {you may also download a chapter of "Be Fruitful & Multiply" here.}

The summer before last, Vision Forum held the magnificent "Baby Conference." I wanted to attend desperately, but alas, my contribution to the conference was having a baby! I was due with my fifth baby and traveling was not a good idea. So when Vision Forum released a 24 CD set of the entire conference I snatched up my copy right away! This is a resource every family needs in their media library.

Topics include:
The Myth of Overpopulation and the Coming Demographic Bomb
The Indispensable Role of Grandparents in the Life of Children
Ladies’ Tea with Michelle Duggar
How the Local Church Builds a Thriving Culture of Life
and even the importance of Naming Babies!

Babies, Adoptions & Family Logistics has been a huge blessing to our family and I know it will encourage you as well!
